Face Off (first shot)

Face Off

At the start of the first game, before anyone owns the table, a face off takes place.

A member from each team starts with 1 ball each.
The players take aim.
The players then take their eyes off the cups and stare directly at each other.
Both players shoot simultaneously.

Commonly, if this takes place more than a few times and no cups are made, the Do or Die rule comes into play.
